典型的な取り組みをいくつかご紹介しましょう！

犬の殺処分は０
ペットを飼う人が増えているとはいえ、日本ではいまだに保健所に引き取られ期限が過ぎると殺処分されてしまうという悲しい現実があります。
ドイツでは、基本的に殺処分という考え方はありません。
ティアハイムという保護センターはあり、日本同様引き取り手がいれば貰うこともできます。
日本との違いは保護期限という概念がないので、たとえ引き取り手がいなくてもティアハイムでずっといることができるのです。
因みにドイツで新たにペットを飼うとなると、このティアハイムかブリーダー経由でしか原則不可能なので、安易な気持ちで動物を飼うということが防げます。

ドッグフードにも規定あり
ドイツのドッグフードは日本のそれよりも規制がはるかに厳しく食品添加物はもってのほかです。
ペットではなく家族が食べるものという意識が強いのでこの様な発想になるのでしょうね。

犬税で数をコントロール
非常に素晴らしい取り組みだと思うのですが、犬を飼っている家庭には犬税という税金が課せられます。
これにより無責任に犬を飼ったり、むやみにたくさんの犬を飼うことを抑制しているのです。
またこの税金があるからこそ、ティアハイムのような犬の福祉に充てる財源も確保できるので、日本も見習うべきではと思います。
国によってペットの関わり方は変わってきたとしても、殺処分だけは何とか失くしてほしいのが個人的な意見です。
そのためには税金を課してペットのための福祉財源を確保するという取り組みを日本でも行ってみてはいかがでしょうか？
