チェコの世界遺産を巡る

東ヨーロッパ各国を巡るツアーだと寄ることはないが、ちょっとチェコにスポットライトをあてたツアーならば必ず寄る世界遺産がレドニツェ城だ。ユネスコの世界遺産へは「レドニツェとヴァルチツェの文化的景観」として登録がされている。世界史に詳しい方ならば聞いた事があるかもしれないリヒテンシュタイン家の歴代公爵が領土していたことでも有名で、ヴァルチツェ城は居城、そして今回紹介するレドニツェ城は夏の離宮として建設されたそうだ。

 

レドニツェは、チェコの南部にある小都市で、プラハからは南に250KMほどいったところにある。ワインの産地としても有名で、先日プラハの高級鴨料理店でもレドニツェ産のワインが出てきた。ただ、この地を訪れる観光客の目的は、ネオゴシック様式で建てられた迫力のあるお城と、壮大な景色が広がる大庭園が調和した景観だろう。

お城の見学ツアーもあるのだが、私は相変わらずお城の中には興味がなく、すっ飛ばしてしまったが、中世好きな方は是非。

ただ、お城の代わりに楽しませてもらったのが、庭園散歩。広さは約200平方Kmに及び、木々だけでなく湖や森が散歩にちょうどよい。

この散歩コースは、お城から庭園の先端にあるミナレット（イスラム建築を模した塔で、展望台となっている。）まで約20分のコースになっている。このコースには実は馬車もあり、片道100コルナ（500円）で乗ることも可能だが、マイナスイオンを吸いながらの散歩をお勧めする。

ミナレットまでたどり着いた私は、とても60ｍの展望台となっているミナレットをのぼる気力がなく、お城までの道をボートに乗ることにした。こちらも片道100コルナ（約500円）。２このボート、超のんびり運転で約30分（正直歩くのとあまり変わらない？）、ゆったりと窓からの自然の景色を楽しみながら、お城の近辺までたどり着いた。船頭さんがチェコ語で周りの解説をしてくれているのだが、もちろんまったくわからずだけど、それでも満足。

 

ボートにも馬車に乗らなければ、こんな美しい庭園とお城を無料で堪能できる。レドニツェ城、おすすめだ。
