チェコ人がオススメする美しい街

9月中旬にワイン祭りのために訪れたズノイモから東へ約50キロ、プラハからは南東へ約250キロ、車で3時間弱のところに「Miklov(ミクロフ)」という街はある。ズノイモ同様、日本のガイドブックではまさか見かけることはない、日本人にはあまり知られていない街なのだが、職場のチェコ人が一押しの街ということで、今回行ってみたのだ。

ブラチスラバを16時に出て、国境越えのドライブをし、ミクロフへ着いたのは夕方6時。もう薄暗くなっていたので、街の散策は翌朝にすることにして、今晩はミクロフ名物のワインを飲みにいくことにした。お店はミクロフ城の近くにあるDobry Rocnikというカフェのような小さなお店。

レストランではないので、食事のメニューはそんなにないのだが、ワインのつまみになるような生ハムやチーズなどを頼むことができる。またワインの種類は豊富だ。今回は白ワインのRieslingとPinogrisを注文。

お店の方はあまり英語は話せないが、暖かい接客をしていただいた。生ハムとチーズを食べきることができなかったので、箱に詰めて持ち帰りもさせてもらった。がっつり食べることはできないが、食後に一杯ということでおすすめの店だ。

 

翌朝8時、朝食を探しながらチェックアウトまで街を散歩することにした。まず訪れたのはKozi Hradek、スピシュ城までと言わないが、廃墟の城のようなものがある。ここに至るまでの道が非常にかわいらしく、またここからの眺めは秀逸だ。３

そしてもう一つ行ったのがミクロフ城。世界遺産でもなんでもないので見逃してしまいがちだが、建物とガーデンがこれまた美しい。４また、9月ということでズノイモの回でも熱く語ってしまったブドウからワインになる途中のお酒ブルチャークを売るスタンドを発見。私は車なので控えたが、1.5リットルのボトル版（90コルナ（約450円））と、母のためその場で飲めるコップ版（15コルナ（約75円）を購入。母はそのおいしさに感動していた。５朝10時のチェックアウトぎりぎりまで滞在し、次の街へと向かった。
